Gîte l’Herberie in Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val

It is a typical Quercy house, completely renovated with organic, natural and as local materials as possible. The lightest possible ecological footprint with, among other things: 100% renewable electricity via the Enercoop network, new generation dry toilets with integrated composting, contribute to reasonable water management, no swimming pool but 2 large zinc basins where the children can splash around when the sun is beating down!
All around the gîte, an area of ​​around 3 hectares where you can walk: a small forest, orchard, where their donkeys, cats, dogs and chickens roam. They are “LPO Refuge” and therefore multiple birds nest and live around the estate, insect hotels enrich the biodiversity and allow you to discover the world of insects. The owner cultivates 2 vegetable gardens which provide a supply of fresh seasonal vegetables, without pesticides of course. It also offers simple and vegetarian cooked meals.

EWÉ Association

Installed in the shared and educational gardens of Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val which it runs, the EWÉ association aims to implement and promote the concepts of ecological resilience and sustainable autonomy, applied in particular to production food and the transmission of ancient know-how.

In a dynamic of sharing knowledge, it supports the creation of nourishing living spaces, by supervising outdoor or indoor gardening activities throughout Occitania, in private or public gardens.

It also organizes workshops, courses, training, conferences, visits and activities on the themes of environmental education, ecological resilience, autonomy and sustainable development: knowledge of wild edible and medicinal plants, agriculture organic, permaculture, agroecology, techniques for empowering daily life, herbalism, awareness of local biodiversity, construction with natural materials, self-production of energy, low-tech technologies, crafts, land-art, etc.

Recyclable Stories Association

The “Histoires Recyclables” association aims to contribute to the sustainable management of natural resources through raising awareness and networking among local stakeholders. She runs workshops in local schools, colleges and high schools, but the heart of her activity is the shared garden. Located in Septfonds, members can have an individual plot, participatory projects are regularly organized to arrange the garden or make their own furniture! Many workshops are also on the program, gardening, cooking, family, so that everyone can discuss and share about food and the environment, all in a friendly place.
